Thomas Close – President (1989)

Thomas holds a degree in Operations Research and Information Systems from Eastern Michigan University. Before venturing into technology, Thomas was employed with Bechtel in Ann Arbor, MI prior to co-founding the country's 3rd largest professional lawn care company, Turf-Pro, which was eventually sold to Orkin. He also played minor league baseball in the Kansas City Royals organization. He later joined forces with his father, a former educator who founded the company in 1964, and together they formed ATC. Thomas and his beautiful bride Susan are the proud parents of three wonderful children. He enjoys family time, traveling and outdoor activities. He was instrumental in the development of Tech-Design® and has received numerous curriculum design and sales achievement awards. ATC is nationally recognized for its leadership in technology education.

Kathy Abbosh – Customer Service (1997)

Kathy came to ATC in 1997 with 15 years of corporate experience, part of which was spent at the Census Bureau. Her background was in retail design and communication. She plays a vital role at ATC, handling a wide range of responsibilities including, shipping, delivery dates, status of orders, and provides assistance with Stratasys and Lab Volt replacement parts. If she is unable to answer a question, she makes sure customers reach someone who can. Kathy and her husband have 2 adult children and 4 grandchildren. She spends her recreational time with family and gardening.

Lisa Hunter – Business Manager (2000)

Lisa joined the ATC Team in 2000 with 10 years of prior experience working in accounting and dealing directly with a large regional sales force. Lisa is responsible for handling all accounting functions and purchasing. Her attention to detail and organizational skills meet the high standards our clients expect. In her free time, she enjoys camping and NASCAR racing. She is the proud mother of three boys.

Christine Lollar – Sales Support (2013)

Christine came to ATC in 2013 with ten years experience as a business analyst and programmer. In her role at ATC, she assists all of the Sales Consultants by preparing quotes and bid proposals across product lines. Her meticulous attention to detail is essential in this demanding role. Christine enjoys spending time with her family and travelling.

Mike Bennett – Regional Sales Manager (1996)

Mike received his degree from Western Michigan University in Business Management. As former Regional Vice President of Operations for All Green, and owner of Fairway Corporation, Mike brings valuable experience in business operations. He has been instrumental in organizing, operating, and equipping labs for our Indiana and Oklahoma customers. Mike enjoys sports and has been active in youth sports programs as a football coach in Rochester. He resides in Argos, IN with his lovely wife Jill and sons Korbin, Collyn, and Gavin.

Andrew Close - Sales Representative (2014)

Andrew joined ATC in the spring of 2014. He completed his studies in Robotics and Automated systems at Oakland Community College and has received multiple certifications from industrial partners. Shortly after completion he was hired by FANUC America Corporation and spent his time with FANUC traveling to various automotive plants around the country maintaining, repairing, and installing robots. Andrews brings an industrial background with him to ATC which will make him a great fit. Andrew currently works out of our headquarters in Northville, MI and covers Southeast Texas and Western Michigan. Andrew has also been blessed with the honor of getting to work side by side with his father. In his spare time Andrew likes to be involved in his interests. He enjoys, hockey, golf, baseball, being outside, and spending time on or near water.

Joseph Close – Sales Representative (2016)

Joey joined ATC full time in January 2016 as while he is working to complete his degree. He worked as an intern during the summer of 2015 at the FESTO manufacturing facility in Quebec City, Canada. He gained valuable insight from his internship relating to product design, manufacturing techniques, quality control and product knowledge. This experience will serve him well during his tenure with ATC as he has built several of the training system he will be marketing. Joey will be working from our Northville, MI location during the training phase of his career at ATC.

Mike MacLean – Sales Representative (2016)

Mike graduated from Siena Heights University in December 2015, with a Bachelor of Education degree in both Secondary Social Studies and Special Education. Mike will be working out of the main office in Northville, MI, supporting the field sales staff. He will be spending his first year at ATC providing service, installation, sales support, and training in various disciplines. His first endeavors at ATC include installing 3D printers and robotic equipment in schools across the mid-west. Mike enjoys watching and playing many sports, and traveling in his free time.

Brendan Flayer – Regional Sales Manager (2014)

Brendan graduated from Western Michigan University in April, 2012, with a Bachelor of Business Degree in Computer Information Systems. Brendan relocated to San Ramon, California to support the Bay Area and rest of California with 3D printing. He spends his time at ATC providing service, installation, sales support, and training in various disciplines. As a three year FIRST Robotics participant in high school, he is long exposed the benefits with STEM education. Brendan enjoys many sports including soccer, football, hockey, and golf.

Bob Kelly – Regional Sales Manager (2005)

Bob comes to ATC with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a comprehensive background in both industrial and educational sales. He was a product designer for five years, and then spent 18 years at EMCO Maier where he progressed in the company from Application Engineer to National Sales Manager. Bob also has served as national chairman of the CNC competition at SkillsUSA for three years running. He represents ATC in Ohio and his in-depth technical knowledge is an important resource for the whole team. Bob has a vibrant personality and thrives when he is interacting with customers. He is married and has two children. In his time off, Bob enjoys time outdoors, especially while boating or kayaking.

Aaron Paul - Regional Sales Manager (2008)

Aaron is a graduate from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, he joined ATC in 2008. Aaron is responsible for sales and service activities in Northern Texas and Oklahoma. He, his wife Bethany, and their three children, Abbey, Maddy, and Josh, reside in Frisco, TX. They both are very active as leaders in their church youth group. In his spare time, Aaron enjoys physical activities, working out and is an avid runner. Aaron’s genuine interest in people, and desire to help others learn, are a natural fit with ATC.

Bill Sherrill – Regional Vice President (2000)

Bill graduated from the University of North Alabama with a Business & Economics degree. After graduation, he accepted a commission in the US Army where he was a First Lieutenant in the 101st Airborne Division. Following completion of his military obligation, Bill joined Johnson & Johnson. During the next 19 years he took on a variety of sales and management positions concluding as Regional Sales Manager. Bill joined ATC in October of 2000 and is currently responsible for Central Texas. He lives in Austin and is married with three wonderful children. In his spare time, Bill enjoys running, basketball, and working out.

Patrick Uetz – Regional Sales Manager (2011)

Patrick (Pat) graduated from Western Michigan University in December, 2010, with a Bachelor of Business Degree in Sales & Marketing. Pat spent his first year working from our main office in Northville, MI, supporting our field sales staff. Pat and his Wife Jenn relocated to sunny Southern California, covering ATC's California and Nevada Territories. Pat enjoys many sports, in particular, golf, hockey and water sports.

Chad Whited – Regional Sales Manager (2004)

Chad Joined ATC in November of 2004 after earning a Bachelor’s Degree from DeVry University in Computer Engineering Technology. He spent his first year providing service, installation, and training in order to thoroughly understand the products ATC represents. Now he is an experienced consultant, focusing on sales in northwestern Ohio. Chad has been married to his wife Sarah since December of 2004 and they are proud parents of Logan (07’) and Riley (09’). He and his family are huge Ohio State Buckeye fans and love watching the games together. Chad is always eager to help customers and answer questions so please feel free to give him a call!

Gregg Zydeck – Regional Vice President (1991)

Gregg has a Bachelor of Arts in Operations Research and Information Systems from Eastern Michigan University. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in technical systems to our team as his affiliation with the company goes all the way back to 1991. Gregg came on board as ATC’s first Sales Consultant, and he has the distinguished honor of having installed the three largest technology education laboratories in the state of Illinois. Gregg also played an integral part in the development of the Tech-Design® program. His well-rounded background makes him uniquely qualified to help educators plan and maintain a dynamic, high-tech program. Gregg now focuses his sales efforts in Michigan and handles most of the state except for the Southwest region. Gregg has a lovely wife and two daughters. In the summer he is known to enjoy the outdoors and is an avid golfer and fisherman.
